2024 News at the Namken Ranch

The family attended the SD Spotlight Show with four calves and two pigs. The kids done well and learned a lot with their home raised calves.

The toughest decision came when Cooper had to choose between showing his steer for Overall Champion Drive or competing in pig showmanship.
“Dad, well Paisley isn’t going to make my steer look good out there.” “Trust me, she won’t look like a fool just to make your steer look bad out there.”
He did let his sister show his steer for him and she did a fabulous job while he competed in showmanship.
Thanks to the committee that puts this show on. To the great roll models these two kids look up to. The Grupe boys, Rylan Thue and Jacob Jung, your help and mentorship is greatly appreciated.
